New to St. Georges?

Where do you even start? You may have come to a service or two but you don’t know where to go from there. We’ve all been there and we want you to get involved, feel at home and help us serve one another and Christ as we walk together through life.

We encourage you to start with the video to the right, which was created in 2012 to help rector candidates understand who we are as a parish. While we’ve since found our current rector, Fr. Mario Conliffe, the video still serves as a fantastic overview of our church.

We’ve also collected some other helpful information here for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my wedding, baptism, confirmation, or funeral here?

Yes you can! We encourage you to meet with the rector to discuss your specific needs and desires. We have periodic confirmation classes and had one of our largest confirmation classes in 2015 and hosted the Bishop at our church.

How do I join St. George's?

You can become a member of St. George’s by making an annual pledge of financial support in an amount that you discern; there is no minimum or maximum limit. If you are unable to contribute financially to the parish, please don’t let that keep you away! Good stewardship is about giving of your time, talent and treasure as you are able. Perhaps there are other ways you can help contribute to the St. George’s community. Come, pray, and let us help you figure it out.

What is the pledging campaign all about?

St. George’s, like most churches, depends on donations for sustaining its programs and facilities. Each year, generally in the fall, parishioners who are able, pledge to donate a certain amount of money. The annual church operating budget is developed based on the sum of these pledges.

How do I join a committee or commission?

We thought you'd never ask! We love when people like to bring fresh ideas and help to our existing commissions. We love the work our folks do but we love when new faces join up and help carry the load and add new dimensions to our work.

If you have a specific commission or committee you'd like to join, please reach out to a clergymember, someone on vestry or the commission head directly. There is ample opportunity for service and growth here.
